Social Media Is Too Limiting

Hello, my name is Kasey Render and you have entered my mind. This is my personal website with my personal thoughts and experiences. I am utilizing this website to give you all of me without any limits or social constraints. Social media is becoming more and more robotic, filled with bots, scammers and all of the in between. The bottom line with social media these days is maximizing ad space and nothing less. The only purpose for social media is to gain your information to sell. We as the consumers think its a platform for connecting with others but in reality we are just numbers.

I am a creative and the confinements of social media are not for me anymore. My personal Instagram account @kaseyrender was hacked on September 24th after I engaged with a scammer thinking it was one of my friends. Within 5 minutes of exchanging information I was logged out of my account and locked out. The hacker changed my password, email, phone number and turned on 2FA Authentication for my account. What this meant was that anytime I tried to login, the hacker would receive a warning saying that an unknown source was trying to login.

As soon as I realized my account was hacked I notified my friends and family through my Facebook account as well as through personal texts and calls. I immediately reached out to Instagram and Facebook since Facebook owns Instagram. I looked at various videos on Youtube to try to regain access to my account. I filled out every single form that I was supposed to complete, I even got responses from Facebook regarding the issue but over 3 months have passed and I'm still locked out of my account.

When my IG was hacked in September I decided to create my own personal website and use that as my new social media. This has been an idea that I wanted to do for a few years but never got the ball rolling for it. After my account was hacked I took that as the final sign to go fully independent with my thoughts. Most of the time, I am very limited and passive with social media. I don't put out all of what I want in order to abide by the rules and protect people's feelings. 

This website is a way for me to create and express myself freely. I don't have to fit a limited amount of words in a small box. I don't have to be limited with how long my videos can be. I can upload whatever pictures I want, how I want. My website is my complete blank canvas.

My mind and life are all over the place at all times. My thoughts come sporadically but they are all connected. This "Inside My Mind" section will reflect that. For the past 5 years I've been very reserved, laid back and behind the scenes. I've suffered from a lot of losses and tragedies back to back to back and have been trying to process everything at once. On top of that I've been trying to grow my businesses at the same time. 

When you scroll up and down in this section you will gradually understand the "who, what, when, where, why, and how" of my life. Randomly throughout the day and week you will learn more about me and how my mind operates.

This will not be a linear timeline as the natural mind is all over the place. My purpose in creating this website is to bring more humanity and realism to the virtual world. Within the next 3-6 months I will gradually stray away from all social media. The only way you will be able to stay up to date with me and my life will be on this website and in real life.
