Move In Silence, You Will Go Further...

In basketball, if you telegraph your moves your opponent will have the upper hand on you. For example if you are a guard and you are dribbling while staring at where you want to pass the ball, the defender will notice and intercept the pass. In football, if the quarterback is staring at the receiver that he is going to throw to, the safety will intercept the pass.

In life, if you telegraph all your moves someone will step in and interfere. It's human nature. There is an opposing force to every action. If you say you want to do something one way or that you are going to do something, someone else will try to block that from happening. Most times their reaction is out of jealousy or hate. Like I mentioned, everything has an opposing force. With love comes hate. The other aspect that comes with telegraphing all your moves is you open the door for copycats. Someone will try to use your ideas as if they are their own. What this does is waters down the value of your idea.

In a race to be first with the idea, that person will make it seem like you are biting them because they jumped the gun on an undeveloped idea/concept.

If I speak on all my ideas and moves it leaves too much room for unnecessary commentary that distracts from the bigger picture. I am a layered individual. When creating art, the final picture won't be noticed after the first step. Everything has to be developed and development can be stunted if it's judged too soon.

When I speak people listen. They may not take everything in at that moment but their ears are wide open. Speaking too much backfires often especially around the wrong people. When you speak too much, every word gets dissected, analyzed and spread faster than a wild fire with added gasoline. Rumors and false information is extremely counterproductive. It wastes too much time. When you speak too much in front of the wrong people you open up a terrible game of telephone where what you say gets jumbled in with their motives and then your undeveloped words become ammunition pointed in your direction.

I've had my words twisted various times where it was my fault because if I never spoke on the topic there wouldn't be any confusion. Not everyone listens to understand. Some people listen specifically to steal knowledge. You can be educating your enemy on your entire infrastructure if you aren't careful.

Moving in silence gets you further in life. When your actions speak before you then your words become fool proof.
Less talking and more action...
