Everything I do has the future in mind. I intentionally chose the entrepreneur life while in high school. It wasn't until 2014, my junior year in college before my first business Wimbley-Render Creations would come to fruition, but the idea to work for myself started back in my Coral Reef days. I've always been an independent person. This may be due to the fact that I was my mom's only child and the only child living at my house. My siblings would come over but I was the only child consistently in the house. My cousins would come over but again, it was still like I was an only child. When you are alone a lot or bored, your mind tends to create more. I used to make money in middle school burning CDs for friends, family and neighbors. I would go to the Target close to my house and buy a 10 pack of blank CDs. I then came back home and downloaded mixed CDs for those that wanted it. I would make $5 for each CD sold. I would ask people what songs they wanted on their CDs and would then go to Limewire (popular pirating site at the time) to get the music. During that era, we didn't know that Limewire was an illegal website. This was before Apple Music or Spotify. Everyone downloaded their music illegally through a free music platform called Limewire. In elementary school I would make $5-$20 to carry my grandma's bags at the store. My mom and her loved to go shopping. It was a weekly ordeal between them. Every time my mom would take her to the mall I was her bag boy. Growing up I would also assist my grandma with her cleaning job. She used to clean wealthy people's homes as well as offices. I used to make $10-$20 to help clean a dental office with my grandma on the weekends. Throughout high school I knew that I wanted to work for myself. I'm very independent and stubborn. When I have something on my mind especially if it is filled with passion, I don't stop until I see the mental vision in real life. Going to college was instilled in me since birth. I had no choice but to go to college. Although college was always in my future, hustling and grinding for my own was the mission. Before stepping foot on the UCF campus I knew my game plan. I was only going to college to satisfy my mom's dream of seeing me get a degree. While there, my goal was to network as much as possible while retaining the specific knowledge needed to have my own business. I went to UCF and majored in Sport and Exercise Science with a Coaching minor. Family Dreams Fitness officially started on October 5th 2015 in Orlando, FL. A year before being in business with FDF I had it mapped out. I worked at Youfit for about 4-5 months to get my feet wet and learn corporate fitness from the inside out. I already had my foot in the door of the private gym that I would eventually start Family Dreams Fitness inside of. Before taking that leap I wanted to know my competition. I wanted to gain the right experience to prepare me for what was to come. When I moved back to Miami in 2016 I had 2 businesses but I was still missing something. I used to work with a non profit while in college and missed that specific community aspect of my life. I'm a big believer in giving back to the community and inspiring the younger generations to do better. I contemplated changing Family Dreams Fitness to a non profit but opted out to repeat what worked for me in the past. I partnered with a non profit for a couple years to learn how a non profit was ran inside out. I then decided to create my own. I created the Kasey A. Render Foundation, Inc to mirror my personal community efforts on a bigger scale. Being apart of other non profits was very inspiring but it wasn't satisfying enough for me. My stubborn bug was starting to kick in again. I like to do things my way. I like to think and create freely, so I went with the route of having my own. I don't have kids yet but I want something that I can pass down to them when I'm long gone. Most people focus on the money that they can pass down but my biggest thing is inspiration. I want to pass down a way of life, a way of thinking. My big thing on legacy is the ability to be immortalized. I've lost a lot of close family members over the past few years. I hold them in my memory forever but the losses are a constant reminder that our physical time on this earth is extremely limited. Everything I do is with that very concept at the forefront. When I'm gone my businesses will still be alive. My non profit is my government name because my life on earth is dedicated to helping others move forward. Whenever God calls me home my name will be permanently linked to the community. I am a family and community oriented man. Wimbley-Render Creations is my mom's maiden name and my dad's last name. I represent both sides of my family. The purpose in doing this is strictly for inspiration and immortalization. No matter what my family goes through in life they will have positive energy surrounding their name. When people see WRC they are seeing a positive representation of my family. I carry part of our history everywhere I go. I created Wimbley-Render Creations as an outlet, a platform of expression for my family. Every family has a dream. Family Dreams Fitness was created to keep those dreams alive. Although it is a health and wellness company, Family Dreams Fitness serves as a constant reminder to never stop going after your dreams. I built FDF from the ground up and it is continuing to grow every single day. The motivation that comes with those words is bigger than any amount of money. It's never about what you can do for yourself but always about how your actions influences the next generation. My legacy is bigger than money. My legacy is breaking generational curses that have tainted my family for years. I owe it to my ancestors to never stop. We've come a long way with more to go but I create for eternity. A hundred years from now, the younger generations will know about a young quiet black boy who redirected his family's trajectory forever...
