Conversations with Kasey Render ft Katherine Wimbley (Episode 11)
This episode features Katherine Wimbley, my mom, a former nurse who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in July 2019. This conversation took place in 2021 at our home. I knew my mom's memory and health was going to continue to decline, so I made sure to ask her questions for permanent memories.
This conversation is one of the most important ones of my life. This is the last coherent conversation that I have saved from my mom. It's the last audio of her voice speaking. She can still speak now in 2024, however her words are scrambled and often times don't come out how she wants them to.
This is a very vulnerable episode for me but it is apart of my healing/coping process. I am also releasing it to help others dealing with the same thing continue to push forward.

As I continue to grow more into who I am, I understand that we are all facing the same struggles. We are all searching for our inner peace and happiness. With the world moving at such a rapid pace, it is easy to lose yourself. It is very easy to get caught up in the material world. My goal with this book is to bring the attention back within.
